I often see a lot of people posting this question on Reddit, ‘What do I do after I do a XYZ Python course?’ Therefore, let this blog be your guide on what to do after you complete a Python course.

It’s not surprising to know that so many people get stuck with not knowing what to do after they complete a Python course because Python is a versatile language! The only step required: EXPLORE!
In order to realize where your niche lies with Python, the only step required is to try every different field you can . For example, lets say you want to make your own games in Python. In that case, go onto YouTube and type “how you can make your own games in Python.” Watch some tutorials and code games in Python for at least two months. After you play around with making games in Python, decide whether you like it. If you do, then keep on going! Otherwise, move on to the next field. Keep doing this cycle until you find your area, and give at least 2 months to each field otherwise you’re never going to know whether you like it .

My Own example
After completing Automate the Boring Stuff, I was in the your shoes. I didn’t know how to practice my Python skills and make real-world applications. I thought Machine Learning was a cool field, so I started with Machine Learning. I thought of doing some ML tutorials on YouTube and code some ML applications to get hired for a job. However, after doing ML for two months, I realized that Machine Learning is more than just coding. It requires a good understanding of higher math and complex algorithms like KNN or Regression models. Because the math and algorithms got boring, I decided to move on to the next field.
The next field I chose and am currently working on is blockchain. I chose blockhain because it’s a fairly a new technology and could be promising in the future. So far, it’s going good, but I don’t know if I might move on to another field.
Conclusion
I don’t encourage you to do everything in Python. For example, don’t try to code a game and website at the same time. Pick one field, explore it, and then make a decision. Also, don’t feel like you wasted your time if you realize that you don’t want to do something that you were working on for two months. The most important thing is that you learned something.
By no means am I a Python expert. I am just an 18 year old teen trying to help people whenever I can, therefore, take my advice with a grain of salt.
